Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund

Financial Aid for Cancer Patients

Anderson Regional Cancer Center truly cares about its patients, many of whom are facing the fight against cancer without the financial resources that ease the physical demands. Many years ago, our doctors and nurses created the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund to help local patients; and since that time we have expanded our efforts to raise funds for this cause. Read about how you can make a difference in the life of a patient.

It takes many people standing together to support the fight against cancer. At Anderson Regional Cancer Center, our mission is to stand with each patient, providing treatment and support.

The Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund was created to help local cancer patients with special needs not paid by insurance such as transportation assistance, prosthesis, medicine assistance, lymphedema supplies, and durable medical equipment.

Throughout the year, many organizations host fundraising events that benefit the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund. If you would like more information about ways to contribute to the fund, please contact Ginny Ruffin at 601.485.5081.

christmas funChristmas Tribute

One of the many ways donations are made to the benevolence fund is through our annual Christmas Tribute event. The Christmas Tribute features the ceremonial reading of honorees, to recognize ornaments bought in memory or in honor of loved ones. As each name is read, an ornament is placed on the Christmas tree in honor or memory of a loved one.
