Prepare for Your Joint Replacement Surgery

You’ve scheduled joint replacement surgery… now it’s time for orientation!

What is Joint Camp?

older woman with gray hair smiling next to man smiling Studies have shown that patients who attend Joint Camp orientation prior to surgery typically have a much better experience and recover better than those who do not.

During Joint Camp, you and your caregiver will receive information about what to expect during/after surgery, how to prepare your home for the recovery process and the equipment or supplies you might need. You will meet with a variety of hospital staff including a nurse, case manager, physical therapist and pharmacist.

When is Joint Camp?

You should attend Joint Camp two weeks prior to surgery. The class is offered every other Monday from 10 a.m. to noon in the Auditorium at Anderson – North. Lunch is provided for patient and caregiver. Call 601.553.6924 to make your reservation.
